Syros
Island Greece
Syros is a treasure waiting to be discovered. Sandy beaches,
wonderful sunsets, colorful streets and full of history. Like
Tinos island many of the visitors are Greek rather than the
international mix on the more popular islands. They come to
sample the many attractive coves, varied landscape and excellent
seafood. Easily explorable, Syros is a rewarding and understated
island with some fine Italiante mansions and traditional farms.
Vist the Vaporia area of Ermoupolis town that will remind you
of Venice itself, then vist Galissa Bay with it's wonderful
uncrowded sandy beach, it would also be worth staying on Galissa
beach just to watch the sunset. Ermoupolis is a town worth discovering,
winding streets, old mansions, grand churches and more. Vist
the main square with it's mansion buildings and numerous cafes,
then in the evening sit by the harbour numerous cafes and restaurants
to do a bit of people watching, then late evening why not try
your luck at the Syros Casino
